Whirlwind

It's been a whirlwind day.  I was expecting it, but whirlwinds are always surprising nonetheless.

But, less about the whirlwind and more about the awesome new knitting love I've discovered.

Monsters.

I'm currently knitting from Rebecca Danger's "Knit a Monster Nursery" book...and OMG I'm in love with knitting monsters.  I made this adorable little guy who is my DPN holder (it's like a pin cushion for knitting needles) on Saturday night and Sunday morning.  3-4 hours tops.  He's made from sock yarn that I had leftovers...and in my eagerness to finish him, I sewed his arms where his legs should be, but then that just makes him unique.

I will love making socks now because my DPN monster will accompany me every time.
